President Donald Trump is giving the keynote speech on Cadet Memorial Field at the Coast Guard Academy Commencement today in New London, Connecticut.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee, chaired by Senator Jim Risch of Idaho, is considering the president’s nominees for positions in the State Department. The Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, is holding a hearing to examine pending nominations.
Senate subcommittees are considering fiscal year 2027 budget requests, the ability of charter schools to meet students’ individual needs, the extension of the Long-Term Leasing Act to tribal reservations, U.S. betting and sports integrity, and the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood in America.
